Ant-noise baffles made in the Royal Building System constitute a perfect way to minimize a harmful influence on human health caused by (road and railway) traffic noises and industrial noises

A simple assembly is based on connection of profiled construction elements made of high impact-resistant polymers being a shell for sound absorbing material or concrete shuttering.

The RBS is a technology of building optimal for this kind of application. Its highest virtue is easy and fast assembly, no need to provide maintenance, and beautiful appearance for many years.

Kinds of offered anti-noise baffles

Module baffles – use of pre-fabricated RBS segments assembled horizontally between steel or concrete posts. This solution allows a complete replacement of particular segments in case of damage.

Depending on acoustic properties the following two kinds of module anti-noise baffles are available:

• Sound absorbing baffles assembled of one-side perforated panels filled with mineral wool, 10 cm thick.
• Reflecting dissipating baffles made of solid panels without any filling.

Integral baffle – components are walls made of RBS panels and connectors assembled at site vertically, then filled with concrete of B20 class. Thanks to use of connectors of various angle, the system allows to erect anti-noise baffles that reflect and reflect-and-dissipate a sound wave

Acoustic tests of anti-noise baffles

Anti-noise baffles were subject to acoustic tests carried out by the Building Technics Institute in order to assess possibilities of application of RBS elements to erect anti-noise baffles.

Upon completion of tests, results showed a very good acoustic insulation. and adequate characteristics of sound absorption by perforated elements. Acoustic insulation of baffles was recognized as very good and, in accordance with the Polish standard PN-EN ISO 717-1:1999, all elements were included in the highest class B3. Sound absorption coefficient of the concerned baffles was qualified as class A2 in accordance with the standard PN-EN ISO 11654:1999.
